A large dining table in solid oak, built around a torsion box structure for a slim, deep top that stays flat across a long span. Three metres ten long, one metre ten wide — designed to seat ten in comfort.
Commissioned to seat ten without feeling like a banquet hall. The brief was a flat, uninterrupted top with a sense of presence — no central stretcher, no bulky leg detail, nothing in the way of legs underneath.
The top is built around a torsion box: a hollow, honeycomb core that allows for a slim visual edge while keeping the table light and dimensionally stable over its 3.1-metre span. Oak veneer over the box reads as solid timber from any angle.
The frame and legs are solid oak, tapered subtly inward so they sit well within the room and don't clip when a chair is pulled out. The finish is a hand-applied oil that keeps the timber matte and tactile, and accepts repair from the home owner without specialist refinishing.
Photographed in the workshop before delivery. Bespoke dining tables can be built in any timber, to any room dimension — start a conversation if you'd like to commission one.

Tell me the dimensions, how many you'd like to seat, and any timber preferences — I'll come back with a proposal and quote within a few working days.
